Little Silver is about two voices: sometimes chasing the same melody, closing in and then opening up wide, and sometimes in lockstep harmony, squared off with neither voice in front of or behind the other. The band is Erika Simonian and Steve Curtis, whose two guitars make the bed for their singing. Erika is a veteran of several acclaimed NYC bands (Jabber, The Erics, The Go Kartel), and Steve, as a founding member of and writer for Hem, has sold over 85,000 records worldwide and performed all over.

The Stolen Souvenir is their debut EP. It’s a bare and intimate window onto a small set of gorgeous songs, co-written by Erika and Steve over the course of their first year playing together. When Little Silver perform live, the duet’s sound is opened with the help of Ray Rizzo (drums) and David Tarica (bass), and this full band lineup will be back in the studio this coming winter to put together a longplaying record. In the meantime, the quartet will be on the road to play from The Stolen Souvenir.

The Stolen Souvenir was recorded at Seaside Lounge Studios, Brooklyn, NY. It was co-produced by Little Silver and Phil Palazzolo (Neko Case, Ted Leo, New Pornographers), engineered by Phil Palazzolo, and mixed by Phil Palazzolo, Isaiah Abolin (Mars Volta) and Brandon Eggleston (The Mountain Goats, Josh Ritter, Modest Mouse).
